Little Nest

Privacy Policy

Effective date: [DD Month YYYY]

Little Nest ("we", "us", "the app") is a childcare operations app used by daycare and preschool centres and the families whose children attend them. This policy explains what information we handle, why, and the choices you have. It applies to the Little Nest mobile app and related services, and is intended for use in Pakistan. Questions: [privacy@yourdomain.com].

1. Who this policy is for

The app is not directed at children and is not intended to be used by children. Information about a child is entered by the centre's staff and the child's own parents or guardians, not by the child.

2. Information we handle

You provide, or the centre provides:

Collected automatically: basic app and device information needed to run the service and diagnose problems (for example, app version and error logs). We do not use this to track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell it.

3. How we use information

We use information only to provide the service: to show a parent their own child's day, photos, and updates; to let staff run the centre (attendance, ratios, activity logging); and to keep the service secure, working, and supported. We do not sell your or your child's information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

4. Who can see what

Access is controlled so that a parent or guardian sees only their own child's information, and staff see only the children at their centre that their role allows. No family can see another family's children.

We share information only with service providers that host and run the app on our behalf (for example, our cloud database and file storage provider), under agreements requiring them to protect it and use it only to provide the service; and with legal authorities, only if required by applicable law.

5. Photos and consent

Photos of a child are shared with that child's family, and only when photo consent has been given for that child. A parent can withdraw consent; new photos of their child then stop being shared with them. Photos already shared with other families before withdrawal may remain in those families' accounts; to remove a specific photo, ask the centre.

6. Children's information

Because a centre and a child's parents enter a child's information, the centre is responsible for having the right to provide it. We handle children's information only to deliver the service described above, never for advertising, and never sold. Parents can view and request correction or deletion of their own child's information through the centre or by contacting us.

7. Security

We protect information with access controls, encryption in transit, and per-family data separation, so each account only reaches what it is allowed to. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

8. How long we keep it

We keep information for as long as the centre uses the service for that child or family, and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet the centre's record-keeping obligations. After that, it is deleted or anonymised. You can ask us to delete your account information sooner.

9. Your choices and rights

You can access the information in your account, correct information that is wrong (parents can edit certain details in the app; ask the centre for the rest), and request deletion of your account and associated information, subject to any record-keeping the centre is legally required to maintain. To do any of these, contact us or ask your centre.

10. Where information is processed

Our service providers may store and process information on servers located outside Pakistan. Where that happens, we use providers that apply appropriate safeguards to protect it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. If we make a material change, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
